Already, Vancouver is home to incredible technology innovation, with companies that lead the way in VR/AR, Metaverse, AI, and clean tech on the global stage.
It's time to build on that leadership.
Our vision is a vibrant 150,000 square foot innovation hub that accelerates the responsible development and adoption of frontier technologies to create high-paying quality jobs, an equitable and prosperous economy, and a sustainable community for British Columbians. After years of extensive research on international innovation hubs, we have come to realize that we need a Vancouver-based solution. The Placemaking Summit will delve deep into the need for innovation districts and industrial agglomeration spaces, and how to make that happen through collaboration, policy, and investment into long-term planning.

The Frontier Collective is a coalition of leaders in tech, culture, and community driving forward the development and support of frontier technologies. This non-traditional organization promotes the region’s tech industry on the world stage, grows investment and infrastructure for early-stage companies, and attracts diverse talent to Vancouver. By building on the city’s established tech ecosystem, the Frontier Collective aims to position Vancouver as the tech capital of Canada, and a top-five global leader in frontier technology by 2030.
